Building Regulations Approvals 
Planning Approval &
Permitted Development 

Are you thinking of a new build development?

Unless the projects falls within the scope of Permitted Development (applicable to certain minor types of building work like small conservatories, for instance), all building projects must have planning approval from local authorities.


We have a long experience and a good record of obtaining planning consents for different kinds of projects. These range from a small-scale extension like the rear of your house up to  new build developments wether it is residential or mixed use.


Our approach has always been to work with both clients as well as the local authority members to assure a good service yet, achievable outcomes.

Party Wall Service

Building regulations approvals from the building control department is a need and a necessity prior to any construction work to assure that work is in compliance with all relevant Building Regulations and any other statutory requirements (health and safety, disabled access etc.).


This includes detailed drawings with itemised notes and specifications on how the building/extension, alteration is to be built.


Building Regulations drawings are generally far more detailed than the drawings and design information required for planning approval


If you are instigating building works to a wall shared with a neighbour, building at or near the boundary line of your property or excavating near a neighbouring building, it is your responsibility to give notice to your neighbours to assure they are aware of what you are planning to do.


Our service extends to offer party wall notices and assit you in obtaining the necessary consents as part of the  Party Wall Act 1996 and its provisions.



Section 106 

Section 106 and Affordable Housing Contributions are demanded by local planning authorities as financial contributions on developments. The skill of negotiations is now  crucial to significantly reduce the levels of contributions.


Academic and Educational Support


Given our extensive experience of architecture academia, which stretches now over 20 years back, the practice  offers consultation and advice on the development of educational programs.


These include general advice on university structures, as well as the detailed development of curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in architecture to comply with UK, RIBA, ARB and QAA standards.
