Mercer Road Extension

Client: Nikhat and Pratap Chahal

Local Authority: Islington Council.
 

A concrete extension to create additional breathing space for a lovely creative  chefs who run their unique Hungry Chef business.

The room is used as a Cinema Room and also as a reading escape with direct connection to the garden.

​

The proposal combined modern approach with a traditional touch. The interior in its colours and artifacts is inspired by the Persian Gardens with a south Indian flavour

​

The design exposed the structural elements to celebrate the geometry of the room and add to the concrete wall, ceiling and floor.
