Chiswick House, London
Client: Kevin and Margo Jones
This house is located in the west of London. The task was a complete re-organisation of the house due to the changing life style/ changing ownership. Working with the existing envelope of the 1960s house, the concept was to create series of small and compact yet connected spaces that offered openness and hierarchy of open, semi open and private spaces. Concealed lighting and number of cuts into walls connecting spaces direct the journey through the house. The internal spaces and the furniture have been treated as internal landscape creating changes of levels that are steps or benches. The main space for the display of client's artwork is double height with an over looking balcony projection for private view of her personal show.
